She absolutely kills it as the villain – it’s no surprise she landed the role of Margaret White afterwards! Every single actor completely embodies their character, making the whole show truly captivating.

I’ve seen some criticism of Midnight Mass, with people saying it focuses too much on long conversations and building suspense slowly instead of quick scares. But for me, that’s exactly what makes it brilliant! The dark, atmospheric setting and the way the horror gradually builds create a truly perfect modern Gothic story, and the ending is just devastatingly sad. It feels so deeply personal, like it came straight from Mike Flanagan’s own mind and heart – I honestly don’t think there’s a more intimate Gothic horror series out there.
