She and the showrunner at the time, Walley-Beckett, both agreed it was crucial to maintain diversity in the cast and avoid excluding marginalized groups.
Despite the lack of official casting news, fans are still imagining who could play the characters. Recently, actress Anya Chalotra, known for her role in a popular Prime Video romance series called Off-Campus, playfully suggested fans ask the writers who they thought should play Xaden. In an October 2025 interview, Mackenzie Foy—who played Renesmee in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2—shared that she was flattered by fans wanting her to play Violet and confirmed she’d be interested in the role if offered.
In a February interview with the BBC, Jordan mentioned that finding the right actors for the show wouldn’t be easy, as he was planning to mix established stars with fresh faces. He also hinted that he might even appear in the show himself, leaving the possibility open.
