Descriptions say it’s this massive, constantly moving, hairy thing made of orange light. The closest our brains can get to imagining it is a huge female spider, but honestly, that feels like a massive understatement of how alien and creepy it truly is.
The movies hinted at how Pennywise came to be, and the new show, Welcome to Derry, is expected to explore the origins of both It and its terrifying clown form in more detail. Early reviews suggest Welcome to Derry successfully does this, and also lays the foundation for future seasons of the show.
