On March 16, 2026, Crunchyroll held a special one-night event to give fans an early look at the anime series coming in spring 2026. One of the four shows previewed was Witch Hat Atelier, a new fantasy anime based on the popular manga by Kamome Shirahama.
The series follows witches who must keep their magic hidden from the non-magical world. Coco, a young girl tired of chores, longs to be a witch herself. Her life changes when a witch named Qifrey comes to her village and reveals a powerful secret, taking Coco on as an apprentice. It’s a story about children facing hardship, but still searching for hope.
