It logged 30.7 million views in three weeks while appearing in the top 10, consistently ranking towards the lower end of the list without ever reaching the number one spot. Currently, it’s the only international film to make this list.
8. Remarkably Bright Creatures
Even though it was released recently, Remarkably Bright Creatures is becoming increasingly popular on Netflix. Based on the novel by Shelby Van Pelt, the film has already garnered 30.7 million views in its first two weeks, earning it a place on this list.
The new mystery drama is gaining popularity despite not immediately reaching the top spot on Netflix’s worldwide charts. It continued to perform well, reaching 40.2 million views in its second week – a feat only achieved by a few films at that time. Notably, Apex maintained strong viewership, with 10.6 million views in its fourth week – the highest for any movie released in 2026.
Now that several more weeks of viewing data are coming in, this show is likely to become even more popular. If people continue watching, Apex might even end up among the top 10 most-watched titles of all time on Netflix.
2. The Rip
At number 2, we have The Rip. This crime thriller starring Ben Affleck and Matt Damon arrived on Netflix with a lot of buzz, and it quickly became one of the year’s biggest hits in 2026. Alan Ritchson really delivered with this sci-fi war film, and I’m so glad it found such a huge audience.
The film launched with a strong start, attracting 39.3 million views its first weekend – the second-highest opening of the year. War Machine continued to perform well on Netflix, becoming the most-viewed original movie in its second, fifth, seventh, and eighth weeks, with 44.4 million, 6.1 million, 3.5 million, and 3.2 million views respectively. It also matched The Rip for the highest number of views in week six, at 3.6 million.
